 Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) Plant is an industrial facility designed to blend base bitumen with polymers (such as SBS, EVA, or Crumb Rubber) to enhance its mechanical and chemical properties. These modifications significantly improve the bitumen's elasticity, durability, and resistance to deformation, making it ideal for high-traffic highways and airport runways. Core ComponentsModern PMB plants typically consist of the following integrated systems: 

• Bitumen Storage & Feeding: Large, insulated tanks maintain base bitumen at 160°C–180°C for fluidity. A jacketed gear pump feeds this heated bitumen into the system.
• Polymer Feeding System: A specialized screw conveyor or hopper introduced pre-weighed polymers into the bitumen stream or digestion tank.
• High-Shear Mill/Mixer: The "heart" of the plant, this multi-stage mill (often 160 kW or higher) ensures complete dispersion and "swelling" of the polymer within the bitumen matrix.
• Digestion/Stabilizing Tanks: Equipped with agitators, these tanks allow the mixture to homogenize and stabilize before dispatch.
• Control System: Advanced plants use PLC or SCADA systems for fully automatic recipe management and process precision.
