• Crumb Rubber Feeding System: Precisely doses rubber particles (usually < 4.75 mm or 30-mesh) into the mix.
• Bitumen Heating & Storage Tanks: Heated, insulated tanks that maintain raw bitumen at the correct viscosity for blending.

Production Process

1. Preparation: Waste tires are ground into fine crumb rubber.
2. Heating: Raw bitumen is heated to 160°C–190°C.
3. Blending: Crumb rubber (typically 10% to 25% by weight) is metered into the hot bitumen and mixed using high-shear equipment.
4. Reaction: The mixture is agitated for roughly 1 hour to allow the rubber particles to swell and integrate.
5. Quality Control: The final product is tested for viscosity, elastic recovery, and softening point before storage or dispatch. 

Common CRMB Grades & ApplicationsIn 2026, the grade selection remains based on local atmospheric temperatures to ensure pavement longevity: 

• CRMB 50: Suitable for cold climates (below 35°C).
• CRMB 55: Designed for moderate climates (35°C to 45°C).
• CRMB 60: Best for hot climates (above 45°C) and heavy-traffic intersections. 

Key Applications: Used primarily in high-stress areas like national highways, airport runways, bridge decks, and for waterproofing membranes in roofing systems.
